Situation: In my previous role as a project manager at XYZ Company, I was responsible for leading a team to deliver a critical project for a major client. The project was highly complex and had a tight deadline.
Task: My task was to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget while meeting all client specifications.
Action: Unfortunately, I underestimated the time required for the initial planning phase. As a result, we faced unexpected challenges midway through the project that led to delays. Recognizing the issue, I immediately convened a meeting with the team to reassess our timeline and priorities. We reallocated resources and adjusted the project plan to mitigate further delays. I also communicated transparently with the client about the situation and the steps we were taking to resolve it.
